Congratulations to the Senior Strategic Partner of the Superconducting Center for being listed on the MIT Technology Review TR35 China List

Following the selection of Researcher Zheng Jinxing, Vice Dean of our center, on the MIT Technology Review's "Innovators Under 35" (TR35) China list, Zhu Jiamin, President of Shanghai Superconductor Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Shanghai Superconductor"), a senior strategic partner of our center, was recently included in the 2022 MIT Technology Review's TR35 China list, Congratulations and congratulations.

Reason for selection: Zhu Jiamin led a team to develop high-temperature superconducting tapes with high engineering critical current density and achieved mass production, providing key raw materials for the compact development of controllable nuclear fusion engineering. He believes that "compact controllable nuclear fusion is a technological revolution that is expected to provide humanity with a continuous source of clean nuclear energy, and high-temperature superconducting tapes are the core raw materials for controllable nuclear fusion magnets".

The high engineering critical current density REBCO high-temperature superconducting strip developed by Zhu Jiamin has become a key raw material for the compact fusion 20T magnet developed by MIT-CFS. At the same time, this compact fusion technology is also one of the "Top 10 Global Breakthrough Technologies" in MIT Review 2021.
