The First Meeting of the First Board of Directors of Hefei International Applied Superconductivity Center was Held

On the afternoon of January 5th, the first meeting of the first council of Hefei International Applied Superconductivity Center was held at the Municipal Government Conference Center. Vice Mayor Wang Wensong, President Liu Jianguo and Vice President Song Yuntao of the Hefei Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Vice Director Cheng Zonghao of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, and Vice Director Zhang Lu of the Management Committee attended the meeting. Heads of relevant departments from the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Hefei Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Management Committee also attended.

At the meeting, the council heard and reviewed the adoption of the superconducting center's articles of association, financial and salary systems, 5-year development plan, start-up period, and 2022 work plan and budget, and voted to determine the main administrative leadership candidates of the superconducting center.

Liu Jianguo stated that the superconducting industry has enormous development potential. Based on the technical reserves and team advantages of the Plasma Institute, the Hefei Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences will fully assist in the development of the superconducting center and contribute to the construction of the comprehensive national science center in Hefei.

Zhang Lu stated that the Superconducting Center should seize opportunities, accelerate site decoration, and invest in various research and development work as soon as possible; We should promote the establishment of superconducting companies as soon as possible and strive to achieve the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and take root as soon as possible.

Wang Wensong affirmed the preparatory work of the Superconducting Center, believing that its research and development field is cutting-edge, the prospects for achievement transformation are broad, and the significance of research and development and industrialization is profound.
