Superconducting Center Wins Jiangxi Province's "Unveiled and Outstanding" Technology Project

Recently, the Hefei International Applied Superconductor Center (referred to as the Superconductor Center) received support from the Jiangxi Province's "unveiling and commanding" technology project. The "Key Technology of Vertical Structure Based Superconducting Strip Winding Device" project has been listed as a major technical requirement for the "unveiled and outstanding" enterprises in Yichun City in 2022. This project is based on commercial high-temperature superconducting tapes and carries out structural design, analysis, and preparation process research for vertical structure based superconducting strip winding devices. It is planned to complete the commissioning and delivery of key components of the vertical superconducting strip winding device in 2024.

The signing of the "unveiling and commanding" project in Yichun City marks the first step of the Superconducting Center in cross provincial technical cooperation. Our center is committed to the technical breakthrough of the project and making contributions to the development of superconducting technology and industry. This "unveiling and commanding" will further enhance the ability of the superconducting center to serve the local economy and society, which is conducive to promoting the construction of new research and development institutions with distinctive regional characteristics and significant industry influence.

Since its establishment, the Superconducting Center has relied on the superconducting technology deposited during the development and construction of the Hefei Nuclear Fusion Large Science Facility, aiming for innovative breakthroughs in precision superconducting technology, conducting extensive technology research and development, industry introduction, and promotion work, and actively exploring a technology innovation and application system that combines "government, industry, academia, and research". The Superconducting Center takes serving new industries and technologies as a breakthrough point, seizes new development opportunities, actively integrates into the regional and industry technology innovation system with enterprises as the main body, and extensively carries out scientific and technological services.
