Recently, Hefei International Applied Superconductor Center officially joined the Yangtze River Delta Superconductor Industry Chain Alliance and became a governing unit. The Superconducting Center will rely on the superconducting technology deposited during the research and construction of the superconducting nuclear fusion device where the plasma is located, and focus on promoting innovation in the core technology of strong field superconducting magnets, unlocking new fields of superconducting applications, and collaborating to create the Yangtze River Delta superconducting industry cluster.

The Yangtze River Delta Superconducting Industry Chain Alliance was established in September 2020, relying on the Shanghai High Temperature Superconducting Industry Alliance and the Shanghai Superconducting Transmission Engineering Technology Research Center. It was initiated and established by leading domestic enterprises in the superconducting industry chain, such as Aosheng Group, Shanghai Cable Research Institute, Shanghai International Superconducting, Shanghai Superconducting, Shangchuang Superconducting, and Suzhou New Materials Institute, to implement the national strategy of integrated development in the Yangtze River Delta, Actively and orderly promote the development of the superconducting industry.

The Yangtze River Delta Superconducting Industry Chain Alliance aims to serve the national major energy strategy and promote the emergence of emerging industries, with the ultimate goal of achieving technology and products that lead the future. Through demand driven efforts, it focuses on key industrial fields such as superconducting materials, superconducting power equipment, and magnet system application engineering. It lays out an innovation chain around the industry chain, actively collaborates with various units within the alliance to deepen interdisciplinary cooperation, adheres to independent innovation, and focuses on breakthroughs in materials Key technology bottlenecks in the integration of key devices and systems, promoting the marketization and industrialization of research and development achievements, promoting the alliance's technological leadership in the Yangtze River Delta region, gradually forming core products to enter the international market, and building a complete superconducting industry chain and cluster, achieving a market scale of tens to hundreds of billions, striving to lead the construction of international standards, and establishing China's international leading position in the superconducting field.
