The First Meeting of the Second Board of Directors of Hefei International Applied Superconductivity Center was grandly held

On the afternoon of August 30th, the first meeting of the second council of Hefei International Applied Superconductivity Center was grandly held at the Municipal Government Conference Center. Vice Mayor Yuan Fei, Vice President of the Hefei Institute of Materials, Chinese Academy of Sciences Song Yuntao, Vice Director of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission Cheng Yu, and Vice Director of the Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee Li Qingshan attended the meeting. Heads of relevant departments from the Hefei Institute of Sciences, the Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee, and the Hefei International Applied Superconductivity Center also attended.

At the meeting, the council heard a report from Lu Kun, the president of the Superconducting Center, on the progress of the Superconducting Center's work in 2022 and the 2023 work plan. Seven issues, including the 2023 work plan of the Superconducting Center and the implementation rules for the management of scientific and technological achievements transformation, were reviewed and approved.

Song Yuntao stated that the development potential of the superconducting industry is enormous. While carrying out core technology breakthroughs, the superconducting center should actively promote the transfer, transformation, and market-oriented application of superconducting technology, form, expand, and extend the superconducting industry chain, and continuously introduce core enterprise clusters.

Cheng Yu fully affirmed the work of the Superconducting Center in talent team construction, horizontal project expansion, and achievement transformation. He believes that the Superconducting Center will accelerate the implementation of the integrated development strategy of research and development, production, and sales under the "Council+Research Institute" operating mode.

Li Qingshan affirmed the phased achievements made by the Superconducting Center in scientific research achievements and applications, intellectual property layout, incubation of enterprises, and horizontal projects. He hoped that the Superconducting Center would continue to grow, strengthen, and gather in the field of superconductivity, and expressed that the Economic and Technological Development Zone would continue to provide the highest quality services and guarantees for the development of the Superconducting Center.

Vice Mayor Yuan Fei affirmed the independent market-oriented operation and team building work of the Superconducting Center, believing that the transformation prospects of the superconducting industry achievements are broad, and the significance of research and development and industrialization is profound. All parties should work together to continuously achieve more results and breakthroughs in investment attraction, team incubation, and achievement transformation, and make contributions to promoting the high-quality development of the economy in Hefei.
